43,307 aspiring voters turned away from registration

Some 43,307 persons have been turned away from voter registration centers across the country as at close of business on 6th November 2017 according to figures released by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC). Reasons for being turned away, include but are not limited to persons being perceived as ‘aliens’, not having proof of residence, defaced identity documents or being under age.
